DANIEL DEPLANCHE

Varsity Head Coach

  • High school soccer coach at the varsity level (boys and girls) for 23 years, with 19 at KMHS. 

  • His teams have reach the state playoffs 19 of his 23 seasons and also won Region Championships in 2003, 2016, & 2017.  His team reached the Elite 8 in 2019.  The 2022 team finished as region runner-up, finishing with only 1 region loss.

  • Coach DePlanche served as an assistant coach for the 2006 Girls Development Players League (DPL) team at Southern Soccer Academy (SSA) in 2021.  This team won the South Eastern Conference & qualified to play at Nationals later that summer.  He also served on the U8 Player Development Academy staff at SSA. 

  • He played semi-professional soccer in the USISL for the Montgomery Capitals. 

  • Coach DePlanche holds a USSF D License.

CARLOS BERRERA

Varsity Assistant Coach & Goalkeeping Head Coach

  • He has held these positions for the past 12 years. 

  • He is formerly the Director of Goalkeeping at Rush Soccer Club. 

  • While living in his homeland of Colombia, he played professional soccer for 1st Division Deportivo Independiente Medellin. 

  • Coach Berrera holds a USSF B coaching license and a FIFA license from the Argentina FA.

PATRICK BALTZELL

JV Assistant Coach

  • He has coached at KMHS for the past 3 years. 

  • He has coached at Southern Soccer Academy (SSA) for 14 years. 

  • Coach Baltzell holds a USSF D coaching license.

CHRIS SZALWINSKI

Varsity Assistant Coach

  • He has held this position since 2010. 

  • He played at KMHS from 2005-2008 for the varsity team.

  • He went on to play 4 years at Southern-Poly leading them to their first ever conference championship and elite 8 appearance as captain.

  • Former semi-professional player in the NASL for the Georgia Revolution.
