In only the Mustang’s second year of competition, the boys’ side reached the Georgia high school playoffs, losing to the eventual state champions in the first round.  The next year, 2003, saw the Mustangs play deep into the state playoffs, reaching the elite final four before losing to the eventual state champions.  In 2004, the Mustangs claimed the championship of Area 5 AAAAA and reached the final four for the second consecutive year, again losing a close match to the eventual state champions.  After a rebuilding year in 2005, the Mustangs have returned to the playoffs in both 2006 and 2007.  With a winning tradition firmly in place and an ongoing commitment to high achievement, the Mustang legacy of soccer excellence continues.
