Coach Zach Mathis

Coach Zach Mathis begins his second year with KMHS Soccer after his inaugural coaching debut in 2007 where he led the Boys JV team to a highly successful 10-0-1 season.
Coach Mathis’s playing career began early and culminated in a local, four year Varsity career at South Cobb High School where he played a range of positions (striker, sweeper, marking back and center midfield) and was selected second team all-county his senior year for his performance at midfield. He has his Regional coaching diploma from the NSCAA and is pursuing his National Diploma this summer.
Coach Mathis earned his B.S. degree in early childhood education from Kennesaw State University and currently teaches 2nd grade at Ford Elementary school. He is excited to be a part of the Mustang Soccer program and looks forward to developing talent for the varsity level.
